(with ref. to Lev. 27:33) to substitute a dedicated sacrifice (by which both become sacred property). Tem.I, 1 הכל מְמִירִים (Bab. ed. מְמִירִין) all persons have power to exchange; לא שאדם רשאי להָמִיר … המיר מוּמָר which means not that one is permitted to exchange, but that if one did, the substitute is sacred.
